English!

Hi! Today I will talk you about my english! hahaha

In my school I learned my first english, in the classes of miss "Pamela". It was really easy for me in the first time because for me it was really interesting and fun. I learned the present perfect, how to call the things of the house, of the school, inside the car...

So, when I entered to the university I thought that I knew a lot of english, but it wasn't so true.  I have learned a lot of new things in classes about vocabulary and other new rules or grammar of the english that I had never learned before. Also I think I could developed the skill of improvise a conversation with a friend talking about a point.

Other activity that I really thanks of these classes is the blog, because it helped me a lot to learn more vocabulary, learn how to express what I'm thinking with the words, and if when didn't know some word I learned to search it NO in google translator, in word reference because it helpes you to really learn the words and don't do it automatically.

I think these day's I'm using  english reading books a lot or papers in english about the career of dentistry or listening the audio of the movies that I watch (I love to watch movies in english).
Other times where I use english a lot is when my familiar who lives in America comes here and I have to help theme in english because they don't know too much about speaking spanish.

Ecology...important and forgotten

Hi, today I will talk you about something realy important, but forgotten for the most of the people.. he ecology.

The world is dying, and we as population that lives in the planet are doing nothing to save our home. The problem is: Where we can inform about this? the information isn`t everywhere, but is really important  to learn how to help the enviroment: the places where you can find this information could be web sites as 50waystohelp, that explain you the enviromentally friendly practices you can do in your dairy life to help the planet. Is true that you only have to google it, but how I said it is forgotten in our heads, and the activities that the government or other intitutions do to help us to inform about this are almost nothing.

In the case of my familly, we recycle glass pieces, platics, paper, and other things. Also we have a vegetable patch were we seed vegetables and the we eat it, as this we don't buy inorganic products and waste less money... I don't know if this helps the enviroment XD.

Personally, I ussually commute to the university in public transport, and don't use the car because it pollute a lot, and is more expensive. The bad thing is that I dont use my bike, is alone in my house, noone touch it... It is because everything is too far from my house, and I would spend a lot of time travelling.

I'm not in a ecology society because I haven't worried about it, and I'm too much busy in this moment.

I think Santiago needs to publish and do more activities for deliever information of enviromentally friendly practices, as that people would learn easily and wouldn't forget how to help our planet, the Earth.

The return of "31 minutos"

Hi, taday I will talk you about one tv show that I saw when I was a little child... And know it returned!!!

The name of it is "31 minutos" 31 minutes, is a show for children that try to seem as a news program.
There you can watch sports, events on the street, porblems of the society, same as in real news, but all oriented to the little ones.

The principal characters are "Tulio Triviño", the one who tells the news that is a monkey puppet; "Juan Carlos Bodoque", a rabbit puppet reporter; "Juanin" that is the one who takes care of the cameras and the sounds in the program.. I don't know how to describe him, is a white furry puppet without eyes; "Policarpo" a puppet of a really strenght person that talks about music in the show; "Mico el Micofono" an other reporter; and the most important, one of my favourites characters, "Calcetin con rombos man" a sock with rhombus that saves lifes as a super hero in the streets of Santiago... he is amazing :')

I have a lot of good memories when I was a child of this program, I watched it every day in the only TV of my old house, waiting all the day in front of it. I think it was my favourite TV show in those years of my life.

I still have a CD of the music of the show, and know, 9 years later it returns to the TV with more chapters!!! I won't lose it :)

My future job

Hi again, today I will talk about my future job and how I imagine it.

I have two ideas of my futures; I want to be a dentist with a major in maxilo-facial surgery, but also I want to teach as a biology teacher!!! that is my dream :) I love to teach, and I loved how my school teachers did it. They were really personal and funny; they were like teachers and parents to us.

I love the outdoor jobs, but all my dreams are indoors activities, so I think all the time I won't be working I will go to the beach or to the meadow with my family.

I think I want to travel a lot in my life, but not in my job. I would like to have my office with my surgery instruments and my people, and be a teacher i would like to work only in one school, where I could meet anybody :)

I think, In the field of be a dentistry I want to have a major in maxilo-facial surgery; because they work with really hard and terrible problems, as cars accidents or congenital problems that affects to the down part of the face, and I think I will be very happy helping this people to make their life better.

My favourite music artist

Hi, today I will talk about my favourite music artist. It's not one person, it is a band, its name is "Red Hot Chilli Peppers".

It is compound by 4 people: Anthony Kiedis (the singer), Michael Balsary the "flea"(bass), Chad Smith (drums) and Josh Klinghoffer (guitar).  They play funk-rock music, and they are amazing!!!

They started at 1983 in the city of Los Ángeles with the album that has the same name of the band "Red Hot Chilli Peppers". In the first band the ones who played the guitar and the drums were different people; the one who played the guitar was Hillel Slovak and the one who played the drums was Jack Irons. In the guitar and the drums have been a lot of people, but the most important ones are John Frusciante and in the drums Chad Smith; the singer and the one who plays the bass have been always in the band. Their most famous albums are "Californication", "By the way" and "Stadium Arcadium". 

I discovered the band because my best friends when I was 13 years started to listen the music of the band, but really I didn't care too much; but in my english class I used computers, and in my computer had only one song, "Snow (Hey oh)", of the "Red Hots", and I loved it. So every time that I had a class of english I listened it, and I started to listen more music of the band; then I fell in love with their special kind of music <3

I like them because they have a fantastic combination of sounds with all the instruments; if you hear only the guitar, or the bass you don't think that it is a good song, but if you hear it together, wow! They are amazing!!!

I think that the most important and greatest songs that they have are:

-Around the world (Californication) because it talks about the beautiful that is in the world and it has a lot of energy, you hear it and you can do everything.

- Give it away (Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic) because is one of the most known songs that they have, even they have appeared in "The Simpsons" playing it. I like it because it also has a lot of energy and is funny to sing it jajaja.

Getting around

Hi, this is my first post, and I will tell you how I commute from my home to the university.

I live in Chile, in the city of Santiago, in the neighborhood of "La cisterna"; and my university is in the neighborhood of "Independencia" so they are reallky far away from each other. It has something good, because by subway the stations of my home and the university are in the same line so I don't have to do a change of trains to another line that is really boring and tajkes a lot of time. By this way I spend like one hour getting there.

I also commute using other transports. The one that I most like is when my mother or my cousin travels me in their cars to the university, because it is faster than the subway and more confortable, also I can sleep in the passing.

Another one that I don't really like is travel by bus... that it's not confortable, it's not fast... I only use it when the subway is not working and my mum or my cousin can't travel me. With this transport I spend like 2 hours to get to the universirty.
